All of our recycling services and processes fully comply with federal, state, and local regulations. At NV Recycling, we collect, categorize, test, repair, and disassemble used and unwanted electronic equipment. We adhere to the latest R2 standards to ensure your retired electronics are handled responsibly—reusing functional devices, recycling non-working ones, and properly disposing of items that cannot be recycled.
Electronic devices primarily consist of three materials: metal, plastic, and circuit boards. Most non-functional electronics are dismantled at our Carson City facility, where recovered materials are sent to reputable large-scale smelters with minimal environmental impact. This process conserves natural resources and reduces the energy needed to manufacture new electronics, allowing all involved to contribute to protecting our fragile environment.
Nevada has one of the lowest legislative requirements for e-waste recycling—recycling is not mandatory. Electronics brought to local dumps are often accepted but may end up buried in landfills. That’s why we sincerely thank all businesses and members of the public who dedicate their time and effort to making our beautiful state a cleaner, healthier place to live.
Environmental awareness is key to encouraging recycling. We are committed to supporting those who want to keep as much e-waste out of landfills as possible and to helping our community move toward greater sustainability.
